Marcel Oogink

Marcel Oogink is a former innovative entrepreneur within the food & biotech industry. With a background in chemical engineering and then later business administration, Marcel has a lot to offer the young startups who want to create a sustainable impact in the agrifoodtech sector.

Marcel’s experience in the startup world has given him a unique perspective on the common pitfalls that young entrepreneurs encounter. He understands the importance of validating a product in the market before attempting to scale up and can provide valuable guidance in this area. Furthermore, his expertise in setting up demo production facilities can be an asset to startups looking to scale up their production. With his vast knowledge and experience, he is well-equipped to coach startups through the many challenges that they are likely to face along their journey.

In addition to investing his time with StartLife’s startups, Marcel is a Business Developer (Food) at Oost NL (East Netherlands Development Agency) since 2023. There his primary role is to create new business activity from innovative ideas or startups / scale ups. Furthermore, Marcel is active as a board member of Innofood  (a Food Network organisation of Overijssel).
