Bernhard Herbort
Bernhard Herbort has longtime experience in the livestock, feed ingredient and additive industry. He occupied various B2B sales, business development, global technical marketing and market intelligence positions in enterprises like Nutreco, Cargill, Euroduna Group and Lohmann Animal Health. He holds a doctoral degree in agricultural sciences (Dr. sc. agr) from Goettingen University based on his scientific research on an animal health related subject at the former Federal Research Institution on Agriculture (FAL) in Germany. Furthermore, he holds a degree as Assessor of Agricultural Economics (Ass. agr.) based on a related post graduate traineeship (ag consultancy, teachership, administration) with the German federal state North Rhine – Westphalia, and a degree as Distribution Engineer (sales, marketing, project management).
Through his academic and business career Bernhard has gained very broad and deep technical, commercial and (innovation) project management competences, which makes him a truly valuable startup mentor. Through StartLife, Bernhard helps agrifoodtech startups to find and really understand the right target markets, manage their projects and successfully commercialize their ideas.
