Henri Molhuizen
About
Henri is a highly experienced R&D leader. Holding a PhD in Medical Sciences, he brings a strong scientific background in the field of molecular cell biology, combined with a successful business career in various global R&D leadership roles in F&B. He brings more than 30 years of working experience, including 10 years in academic scientific research and almost 18 years in various global roles in Unilever, the last five years of which as Global R&D Director for Unilever’s Out of Home business. More recently Henri served as VP R&D with Dawn Foods Europe & AMEAP, an American Sweet Bakery ingredient supplier, and as Chief Scientific Officer with Nuritas, a successful Biotech startup company in Dublin, Ireland. In June 2023 Henri has started his own Foods and Beverages innovation consultancy company.
Henri has a track record of successful Foods & Beverages innovations and NPDs in various Categories across multiple cultures and geographies. He has successfully delivered in each part of the innovation process (early discovery, proof of principle, prototype and product development, production scale-up and product launch). He translates business strategy into action and ooptimises innovation processes, combined with careful resource and portfolio management, to maximize delivery for success.
Henri is strongly driven by his personal purpose to “lead by example to inspire others giving the best of themselves to contribute to a healthy future for ourselves and next generations”. As a ‘people person’ he has a strong drive to develop and grow people helping them to get the most out of themselves and he builds bridges between people, across functions and across cultures.
